A Mass of Gratitude for Brooklyn Park – Richmond

The Salesian presence at Brooklyn Park and Richmond in Adelaide will conclude at the end of 2017 after 74 years of care, ministry and service. Instead, the Salesians of Don Bosco will concentrate their apostolic efforts in Gawler from 2018 onwards.

In order to mark the conclusion of the Salesian ministry in Brooklyn Park/ Richmond, and to acknowledge the significant contribution of the present members of the Salesian Community as well as many other Salesians in the past, there will be a special Mass of Thanksgiving at St John Bosco Church, Brooklyn Park, on SUNDAY 26 NOVEMBER 2017 AT 10:00 AM.

The principal celebrant of the Mass will be Rev Philip Marshall, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Adelaide, who will be representing Archbishop Philip Wilson who is currently on leave. Fr Greg Chambers, Provincial, Fr Joe Lee, Parish Priest, and some members of the local Salesian Community will concelebrate at the Mass.

In addition, other members of our Salesian Province and Family, particularly those who have served at Brooklyn Park, Richmond and Gawler over the years, are warmly invited to attend this important thanksgiving and farewell celebration.

All parishioners and friends of the Brooklyn Park – Richmond community are warmly invited to thank God together in this grateful occasion.
