The Australian Salesian Mission Overseas Aid Fund [ASMOAF] has recently released their 2010 Annual Report to the public. A copy of this report is now available on the Australian-Pacific Salesian Province website.
ASMOAF operates from the Salesian Province Centre at Ascot Vale for the education of under-privileged youth around the world, particularly in the Pacific and South East Asia.
ASMOAF and its partners have been very successful in their on-going education projects. Many young students from technical and vocational education programs in Samoa, Timor Leste, Solomon Islands, India, Pakistan and Mongolia are securing employment soon after the completion of their courses, which thus help them become self-sufficient, contributing members of their nation.
This is a significant achievement as there are high levels of unemployment in each of the above mentioned countries.
If you would like to help the missions of ASMOAF for the education of youth around the world, contact their Missions Office on 03 9377 6060 or donate directly and securely via the website.
