A group of young men and women set out for Samoa for the experience of what we nowadays call the Cagliero “immersion” on 25th June. All young people involved come from leadership positions somewhere in the Salesian youth mission.
This year we are lucky to have some younger staff from our schools in the group. They have spent an intensive weekend of “formation” at Dromana.
The focus of the two weeks is an intensive leadership and camp animation program based primarily at Leauva’a, but this year also extending into Sinamoga-Moamoa.
As well as the “hands on” program, the youngsters spend some rest time in beautiful Savai’i. However, they might find themselves in a tropical jungle with bush knives in their hands, helping and working with the locals.
