The Regional Councilor for East Asia and Oceania, Fr Vaclav Klement SDB, arrived in New Zealand on 2nd November for a short visit. He stopped over there for three days to meet up with the Salesians and their work in two parishes.
While in New Zealand, Fr Klement visited all parish works and celebrated Masses with the parishioners. Four Salesians in Auckland are in two different parishes of Massey and Avondale ministering with a number of various nationalities including Burmese, Indians, Filipinos, Koreans, Africans, Samoans and Tongans.
Fr Klement flew over to Melbourne on 4th November and had a special Provincial Council meeting on the following day. While in Melbourne, he will be making a quick visit to a few communities to catch up with confreres. Fr Klement comes to Melbourne to attend the regional meeting of the Youth Ministry Delegates who are gathering at the Salesian Retreat Centre in Lysterfield from 10-13 November.
