New Mazzarello Year 9 Campus at Rupertswood

On the feast day of St Maria Mazzarello, the Salesian College Rupertswood in Sunbury Victoria officially blessed and opened the new Year 9 Mazzarello Campus by Fr Greg Chambers, the provincial of the Salesians of Don Bosco.

A number of Salesian Sisters were present at this opening. The vice provincial of the Salesian Sisters, Sr Delma Lamb FMA, gave a little speech during the service thanking the Salesian College community of how proud and thankful they were in this establishment.

Special guests included the architect, the artist, the local Member of Parliament, a representative from the Catholic Development Fund, members of the College Council, and some parents.

Mr Mark Brockhus, current and first lay principal of the college, also thanked all parties who contributed in this wonderful facility.

Fr. Greg Chambers in his address passed on the blessings and regards from Pope Francis and the new Rector Major, Fr Angel Artime, to all students and staff at Rupertswood.

Mr Brendon Fogarty, the campus leader of the Year 9s, was the master of ceremony for this event.

The new Year 9 Mazzarello Campus provides new style of education in simple, practical, intellectual and hands-on approaches to all students.
