Our Lady of the Rosary Primary SchoolHistory was made at Our Lady of the Rosary on 8th August as the school community united on the one site after 40 years of operating on two separate sites at Collins Street and Saddington Street, St. Marys.

Complete with a police escort the entire school community, led by students, processed from Collins Street to Saddington Street, literally stopping traffic along the way as the police conducted traffic to allow the school to cross busy Mamre Road.

A new school bell was unveiled and rung by the youngest student at the school, Giovany Nohra, and the longest serving staff member, Helen Minol, followed by performance from African group TeamBeat and a sausage sizzle. Principal Mark Geerligs said the celebration was a tribute to the spirit of the community and the school. “The sadness of saying goodbye to the Collins Street site is definitely overshadowed by the joy of coming together on the one site for the first time in 40 years.
