A Salesian bishop from the Philippines greeted local Salesians shortly after arriving in Adelaide on 1st September.
Bishop Patrick Buzon DD, bishop of the Diocese of Kabankalan, Philippines, came to Australia for the diaconate ordination of one the seminarians from his diocese. The new deacon will be part of the Diocese of Port Pirie, South Australia. Bishop Buzon was met at Adelaide Airport by another Filipino priest and Don Bosco Victorias past pupil, Father Francis Montero. Father Montero is an assistant priest in the Cathedral Parish, Port Pirie.
The vicar general of the Diocese of Port Pirie, Monsignor Paul Quirk, arranged for Bishop Buzon to meet the local Salesians at Brooklyn Park, on his way to Port Pirie.
