Provincial Visitation at Sunbury

The Provincial of the Salesians of Don Bosco, Fr Greg Chambers SDB, visited the Salesian community at Rupertswood last week. It is an annual visitation made by the head of the Salesians to a local community to spend time with the members of the community and to see their ministry.

As the Salesian College Rupertswood being the main ministry of the community, Fr Greg paid a quick visit to the college, had special morning tea with all staff, met with the principal, and lunched with college leadership team.

Three Salesians are currently working in the college: Br Dat Phung as IT and Learning Aid, Fr. Joe Binh as a counselor and chaplain, and Fr Will Matthews as a teacher and the rector of the college.

Fr Greg was the principal of the college prior to Mr Mark Brockhus. He was very happy to see the staff, and many students who still remember him as their principal.

On 5th September, Fr Greg also concelebrated at the whole-school Mass to celebrate St Mary of the Cross MacKillop. During the Mass, the rector of the college, Fr Will Matthews SDB, welcomed and thanked the provincial for his visit to Rupertswood and being part of the celebration.
