First Lay Principal for Salesian College Chadstone

Rob BrennanRobert Brennan has been appointed as the first lay principal of the Salesian College in Chadstone. This announcement was made by the provnicial of the Salesian Society, Fr Frank Moloney SDB, on Monday 10th October.

Mr. Brennan has been the principal at Nagle College in Bairnsdale since the beginning of 2007.  He has an extensive experience in Catholic Education. Prior to taking up the principalship of Nagle College, he was Deputy Principal of St Patrick’s College, Ballarat for five years (2002-2006); for nine years teacher and head of house at Catholic Regional College, Sydenham; for six years teacher, level co-ordinator and subject co-ordinator at Catholic Regional College, St Albans.

He has a broad academic background which has prepared him well for his future role at Salesian College Chadstone: Bachelor of Education from the Melbourne College of Education, a Graduate Diploma in Student Welfare from Melbourne University, a Graduate Diploma in Religious Education from Australian Catholic University, and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Australian Catholic University.

Mr. Brennan will commence his new role as the principal of Salesian College Chadstone in January 2012.
