Salesian Missions Office Typhoon Appeal
The Australian Salesian Missions Office has launched an appeal for victims of this week's typhoon in the Philippines and Vietnam.
Typhoon Haiyan has swept away entire villages with thousands killed and many more injured.
the situation is desperate for hundreds of thousands of people, many of whom have lost everything.
Br Michael Lynch, Director of Salesian Missions Australia, said there is an urgent need for emergency shelter, food, clean water and medicine. Funds will be distributed through the salesian Provincial Offices in Cebu [Southern Philippines] and Ho Chi Ming City in Vietnam.
