Fr Bernie was the Principal of Dominic College from 1995 to 1999. He currently chairs the Dominic College Council and is a member of the Guilford College Governing Council.
The citation read out by Mr John Mula, the Director of the Tasmanian Catholic Education Office stated in part, ‘Fr Bernie Graham is skilled at making connections with people, whether they are students, staff, parents or members of the broader community and bringing them with him in fulfilling the tasks he is focused on. This skill assisted the system in Tasmania during a time of major change with the foundation of Guilford Young College and the reconfiguration of Dominic College into the K – 10 College as it is today. Fr Bernie was appointed Principal of Dominic College to oversee this transition. The five years of Fr Bernie’s leadership as the Principal of the College laid the foundation for the great relationship Dominic College currently has with Guilford Young College as its senior extension…. Fr Bernie is a servant leader… He is compassionate, inclusive, a mentor well liked by his peers and a leading advocate for contemporary evangelization of young people.’
Congratulations Fr Bernie!
