January 31 marks the feast day of Don Bosco and so, it was only fitting that members of the Salesian family from around Melbourne gathered at the parish church of St Margret Mary, to celebrate the life of the man that had brought them all together.
About 25 people were on hand to hear Fr Guillermo Basañes speak, worldwide councillor for missions for the Salesian congregation on the 25th of November at the Aikenhead Hall at St. John the Baptist Primary school in Clifton Hill.
The final episode of the Mission Speaker Series will take place on Monday the 25th of November, when the microphone is handed over to Fr. Guillermo Basañes.
Every December, The Don Bosco Camp & Centre runs Salesian Leadership Camp. It is a 4-day training course designed to provide leaders and potential leaders with a variety of tools, techniques and hands-on experience in working with young people.
The Salesian activities of extraordinary mission’s month* continued on Wednesday 9th of October with a panel discussion tackling the growing refugee crisis around the world, hosted by Romina Martiniello, in Clifton Hill, Melbourne.
